A Year of Projects Update - week 40

 We are another week closer to the holiday - just counting down the days!

I have done very little again - I'm so tired after work I never feel like doing much!

Anyway I have done a bit of work on Takumi. 

I have made it just down to below the sleeves.  The yarn is by Skein Queen which I got at Unravel.

I am obviously into wrap tops at the moment as I have also started my Saguaro  by The Friday pattern company.   I didn't really love the pattern originally,  but then saw it on several people and changed my mind.

I  am getting through the top (sewing by hand - as is my preference).

And that is it for this week!  Next week is the start of the Easter holidays so I'm hoping to do lots that week - again, am counting down the days.

A Year of Projects Update - week 39

 I missed last week - just ran out of time!  To be fair I had nothing to show!

I have a little this week!

My shorts are done.  I am so happy with these and think they will be perfect for those swimming days when it is too warm for thermal trousers  but too chilly for summer dress.

These are made entirely with repurposed yarn from a sweater I never wore.  The tie I bought a while ago - for pyjamas I think but never used so really this has cost me nothing!

And of course, with one project off the needles, another shiny new one has to go on!

So this is my Takumi by Renee Callahan.

I have had the pattern in my library for years and the yarn is Sousie dk by Skein Queen that I purchased at Unravel.

I haven't done much else, a little baking, but that is about it.  School is pretty full on at the moment but the Easter holiday is in a couple of weeks so I am looking forward to that.

A Year of Projects Update - week 37

 It's been a very quiet week here.  Just work and sleep!

I have done minimal crafting this week.  Just a little work on the shorts that's all.  I am now on to the pockets.

This is,a pattern from Pompom magazine and is repurposed yarn from a frogged sweater.  

That is all for this week I'm afraid - I made some cakes yesterday and the daffs are coming out but that is it!
