A Year of Projects Update - week 5

 Our internet is playing ball at the moment,  so I am taking advantage!

We spent much of the week with mum and dad.  We didn't do much there, but lots of knitting was done!

I also went out this morning with a couple of friends for coffee, a walk and lunch.  It was really lovely to catch up even if it was a tad windy!

The main thing I have worked on is my Pineberry from the most recent Pompom magazine. 

This is using some Eden Cottage yarn. 

I have also put in an order for some fabric and got a couple of patterns  for my next sewing projects.

And I think that is it for today.  I have lots planned around the house this week so hopefully next Sunday, I should have some progress to report.

A Year of Projects Update - week 4

 I'm posting a day late this week.  But since I am now on holiday I've decided it is fine!  

We went to see some rally cross yesterday so yesterday was out!  

I have been quite productive in this last week of school.  I finished Tegna.  I also started sewing and finished my denim repurposed jeans, skirt.

Here they are together although both need a press I think you get the idea!

I have yet to wear this combo but will be doing so soon!

I have now made a start on Pineberry.

I am knitting this in some Eden Cottage yarn.

I have also turned the heel on my socks but I will show you those when more progress has been made. 

So this week me and the boys are going to see my mum and dad for a few days and then we have a couple of weeks of doing very little, which will be lovely before our couple of trips away.

Hopefully, I will be able to get a good amount of knitting done whilst away and maybe some reading.

A Year of Projects Update - week 3

 It doesn't feel as though I have achieved much this week, as I have only worked on one thing!  But there is only one week till the summer holidays and I simply can't wait!

The one thing I have worked on is my Tegna.   I am so close to the finish - I now just have 1 (short) sleeve to finish.

This is my second Tegna - this one is out of Third Vault Yarn.   I can't wait to wear it.

When I'm done, I'm going to cast on my shrug/wrap top from Pompom magazine and get sewing on my denim skirt.  Exciting times!

And that is that  - next time I will be a lady of leisure!  I hope everyone has a great week. 

A Year of Projects Update - Week 2

 I can smell the end of term!  Just 2 weeks to go.

We have had quite a busy week - Thomas had a school trip, Daniel had his congratulations trip, we had 2 strike days and I went to visit a friend whose birthday is today and caught up with a friend that lives in Scotland that was visiting.  All nice things but it has meant very few crafts this week.

Luckily I have had a bit of time over the past 3 weeks!

I finished Rosa - I actually had finished her before I published my list, but I didn't show you so I didn't count it!

I have worn her several times and love it.  This is a Tilly and the Buttons pattern all sewn by hand which is my preference. 

Otherwise, I am still wading through Tegna  - I have split for the back and front now so should be done soon. 

I also pinned up my upcycled denim skirt (it was a pair of jeans).

Sorry the picture is blown out - I will have a better one as I start sewing.  This won't be for a couple of weeks as I want to finish Tegna first.

I do have a sock on the needles,  I am at the heel of sock one and I hope to get further with that as well over the next 2 weeks.

This coming week is still fairly busy, with a trip and a congratulations trip for Thomas  but I should be able to squeeze some in!

A Year of Projects - List

 And so, July is here again.  My Year Of Projects runs from July to June - so it is list time for me.

I will be organising my list as I have done the past few years, and that is predominantly centred around a handmade wardrobe.

Knitting

• Tegna - this is my second and is nearly completed
  
• A light coloured tank/vest top - pattern not chosen yet
• Pineberry - pattern from Pompom magazine and yarn from Eden Cottage yarn has been purchased
  
• Open fronted waterfall cardi - pattern to be decided
• Socks - a mix of long and short
• More washcloths/dishcloths

Crochet

• I really want to pick my Battenberg blanket up this year!

Sewing

• Finish Rosa by Tilly and the Buttons 
• Sew another Simple sew wrap dress
• Decide on suit pattern snd sew it
• Cream trousers - ? The Lander Pant
• Make handkerchiefs and cut cloths

Other

• Embroidery and cross stitch - I would really like to do some more of these
• Painting - again would like to do more of this

And there I will stop.  I will almost certainly add to the list as I go but this is a good base!

So that is my list - next week I shall update on my progress over the last few weeks!
