A Year of Projects Update - week 16?

I have never missed quite so many weeks!  I don't really know what I have been doing in this time - it almost certainly is not knitting!

I was a little unmotivated for a while - a couple of things I've recently made have not been so great - partly as I have lost a bit of weight - and have not fitted as I would like.

Anyhow, I have started a new project, that I am feeling good about.  It is the Fine Line sweater by Lily Kate makes.

It doesn't look much at the moment as it is ribbed so is very stretchy.  It is designed to be fitted so I am hoping I will be happier with this!  I'm knitying it in a Malabrigo yarn that is very similar to what I knit my Ease in (which I love).

And that is my only project at the moment, when I have a bit of time during the galf term break, I need to sit down and think about what I could do with making next!

Well I'm going to make myself a coffee and I may do some baking today- I'm thinking gingerbread and a pear and almond creation!!

  1. That sounds an interesting new jumper project. Well done on losing some weight, could you risk trying to shrink your oversized projects? Or use your overlocker to tailor them? Or even your preferred hand sewing to tailor them? I seem to be ever growing...hope all my jumpers still fit. I am wearing one today that does phew! Have a good half term when it comes. 2. Congrats on the weight loss. One of my yesterday knitting friends is frogging and reknitting a bunch of her sweaters because she lost a lot of weight. She loved the sweaters so she wants them back. I found after I lost weight a few years ago that I now prefer more fitted sweaters since I'm no longer trying to hide my belly. I love Lily Kate patterns. I'll be knitting her Abydos tee for my DIL soon. MaureenHD
