Well its 2014!! Didn't post last week as we had quite a traumatic Christmas. The boys had a brilliant time and that is all that matters.
Over Christmas, I finished a couple of projects:
a little bag for Lily
and the willow boot socks for my SIL
I also cast on for the poncho along with our gathering place on ravelry, which is coming along nicely - I would like to be able to wear it to a funeral on Thursday.
On another note, I was tidying up some of the beds for next year and i found these that I had forgotten - quite a haul of parsnips which delighted my husband as he loves them!!
To start the year on the right note I thoght I would update the list - so here it is

ReplyDeleteWhat a super cute little bag!
ReplyDeleteEee gads! A traumatic Christmas? Oh sorry about that. Sorry for your loss as well. My condolences.
ReplyDeleteOther than that, great finishes! No doubt you were whalloppped by the holidays like me and was knitting til the end.
Mmmm parsnips. I'd be thrilled to find those too!
ReplyDeleteSorry for your loss. Your knitting looks great. After a traumatic Christmas I think you should do one of the projects just for yoU!
I too am sorry for your loss and for the fact that Christmas was traumatic. Your Christmas gifts turned out so very lovely, as is your poncho. I hope you get it done in time--and some selfish "me" knitting sounds to be in order for you.

So sorry you had a traumatic holiday and a funeral over the holidays for some reason just exemplifies the sadness. Your projects are lovely and you did great on your list and your Christmas gifts. I think you really need to pick something for yourself from your list. I hope things are more peaceful for you this coming weekend.
