Year of Projects - Week 4
Just a quick one this week.
I have made a little progress on my test knit, have nearly got to the division for the sleeves. I am taking the boys and staying with my mum for a few days this week, so I hope to make lots of progress this week.
And the reason why it's a quick one is because I am at a craft fair all day today. I did one yesterday and am going back in a bit.
Hope everyone has a great week :-)

WIP Wednesday - My first test knit
I have cast on!! My first test knit - raspberry tart - or as I shall name mine - plum tart. My yarn is Eden Cottage oakworth dk in plum, hence the name.
So I started a little late, but this allowed me to look at the comments and work out a few things first, before plunging in. So far so good, I have only got to the first intricate pattern, so we shall see!! I am very pleased with it so far.
I also have my Xmas jumper still otn, not any further forward. I'm already thinking it may have to be for next Xmas! But maybe that is me just being defeatist!!
I am getting ready for a craft fair at the weekend and here are my new products on display.
So that is me at the moment. I have no new sewing projects on the go, but I still need some pj's so may cut those next. Now I am officially on holiday I can do this at my leisure!

Year of Projects - Week 3
Some progress this week!!
The most exciting news is that I have finished my outfit-a-long - Yay!! Here it is
Apologies for the appalling photos - I simply cannot take a good selfie!!
The skirt is Delphine by Tilly Walnes. I actually finished this last week and have worn it to work. The cardi is Myrna by Andi Satterlund. I made a mistake with the arm but I couldn't face frogging it and carried on regardless with a bit of tweaking. I don't think you can really tell unless you look closely.
I finished the second hat for Thomas's teacher (who is having twins) and now just need to make cards for her and the childminder - both of which we will be saying goodbye to this week.
I also finished a pair of socks for the stall.
I love them!! They are made from Mellifera yarn cash sock in gingerbread and honey - they are so soft.
So today I am ready to do my first test knit - I shall cast on later and am quite excited.
In other news we have been growing up fast in our house - Daniel has decided he doesn't want nappies any more and Thomas lost his first tooth yesterday. We begin our summer holiday on Wednesday and I literally cannot wait!! My mum and dad are arriving on Tuesday for a few days before me and the boys head off to the west country for a week.

Unwind Brighton - a surprisingly fantastic day!
Went to Brighton on Saturday. I went to partake in a little yarn at Unwind while my boys went to the aquarium.
We went by train as the car journey can be stressful! And got there in good time so I visited Fabricland. It is a cheap and cheerful fabric shop - where I bought these two beauties for the princely sum of £30 - there is 8 meters of fabric here!! Have to say although I have not used the fabric yet, I was very impressed with the price and the friendliness of the staff.
I met my friend from Ravelry and after about 10 minutes of browsing found myself manning a stall for signature needles with no paypal, no cashbox, no price list and no prior experience of the needles at all!! That said no one seemed to mind and I sold several hundred pounds worth in no time - they must be good! Here we are on the stall!
After a couple of hours I managed to escape and buy yarn - here is some of it - a sq of DK from Eden Cottage in Raspberry tart - a sweater I will be testing.
I picked up a few other bits and pieces too but am keeping them under wraps as I may use them in a Xmas parcel later this year!Having done a little shopping I then went to meet my boys (husband and 2 little ones). We had a marvellous fish and chip lunch on the seafront, then ice cream on the beach.
Finished the day with a leisurely walk back to the train stopping at a couple of public houses enroute!!
So all in all a lovely day - how was your weekend?
Will be linking with KCCO this week - hop over to see some more!!

Year of Projects Update - week 2
Here we go - 2 weeks in and what progress have I made?
I have finished the body on Myrna and started the sleeves.
I have completed a few more rows of my Christmas jumper, but still haven't caught up with my timetable - maybe when I have completed Myrna? Or maybe not as I have already changed and added to my list! I have signed up to do a test of Raspberry tart next!!
The sneaky peak last week was of one of these pink speckled socks! As you can see I have been busy knitting some little items for the stall.
I have decided to branch out and try some baby clothes on the stall - just socks and hats (although I will need to get cracking on some hats this week).
And lastly I went to Unwind Brighton yesterday, which is a great yarny event in Brighton, England - next to the beach. I brought far too much and the day turned out to be very surprising, but here is a preview!! I will devote a whole post to it later in the week!!
So how is everyone doing?
