Year of Projects Update - week 26

As always Christmas flashed by in a blur of wrapping paper!!  The panto was great, even though there were a few tears at the dragon (we were a little scared) but we sang our way through and now they want to book for next year!  Christmas day was fab just the 4 of us and boxing day we went to the crematorium and lit candles and we all fared ok.  On Monday I am making my way across the country with the boys to spend a few days with my mum and dad - my husband has to work so we are leaving him behind.  He likes a little time to himself!!  He will work and play golf so he is happy!

Anyway to knitting.
I am almost finished on some more booties for the stall (I sold all the rest)

At the start of the year of projects I was going to do a baby blanket but that didn't happen so I am going to follow a knitalong with a magazine I get to knit up sampler squares  I am half way through the first one.

I have made good progress on my Raspberry Tart, but this will be my only project that I take to my mums so I hope to crack on with it there.

Also whipped up a bunny purse for Debs.

Year of Projects Update - week 25

Are we nearly there yet?
I don't know about you, but I only think so.  Last minute food shopping to do and the tiniest bit of wrapping, but otherwise we are there... I think!

I finished off all my commissions this week - 4 cafetiere and tea cosies and a pair of wristwarmers. All of which I failed to photograph, which is very unlike me!

Otherwise, I completed my last present - a bunny purse

And I made some progress on my second Raspberry Tart - I am at the sleeve separation - hurrah.

Otherwise, we are off to see the Penguins of Madagascar at the cinema in a moment.  I rarely pay full price for the cinema but this time decided we could run to it.  I really want to make Christmas magical this year for the boys after the past 2 years (2 years ago Daniel was in hospital with pneumonia and last year my mother in law passed away) and I know that doesn't mean spending lots of money, but since we are ok at the moment, I've got a couple of treats lined up - today the cinema and tomorrow the pantomine (actually quite excited myself!!)
Anyway hope all is well and I wish everyone a very Happy Christmas.
For more of the same visit our little group here.

Year of Projects Update - week 24

This will be a very short post with no photos this week!
I have just returned from my last craft fair of the year.  The craft fair itself went very well, but I came out to find I had left my lights on and the battery was completely flat.  Who knows how, given there is an alarm if you leave them on and I returned to the car.  Anyway after two hours and an attempted rescue by an elf (I kid you not), the AA finally got me going.

In terms of projects I have done very little other than working on things for the stall and a couple of commissions.

This next week is a blur of Christmas plays and end of term but I should get some knitting in and have something more productive with photos for next week!

A Year of Projects Update - week 23

Time is flying by now - I missed last week as there was too much going on (not knitting related  I hasten to add!)  My eldest was ill, but still insisted on seeing Father Christmas and of course I had to do the cake!  I started it and my son finished it!

In knitting I completed another set of booties.

I made a little progress on my Raspberry tart

And today I am at the first of two fairs before Christmas.  So not that much knitting carried out, and now of course there is wrapping to be done!
