It's been a couple of weeks since I blogged midweek, and I have to say, I have really missed reading what everyone has been up to. I know I can still read the blogs without posting myself, but it just feels nicer to be fully part of it.
Well anyway, it's the holiday so I shall aim to blog most weeks now.
I've finished several things since my last midweek blog; my Hector socks, a christening present and my second chance frog cowl
This week I have been mainly working on a hat for the stall. I love this sirdar snuggly snowflake, it makes such a gorgeous fabric, but it's not the easiest to work with so I won't be making anything big!
My model is a little too big, but there we go - he's all I have!!
I have also been making my way through Vianne, but I will not make the deadline (not an issue as I wouldn't have entered for prizes anyway, it's just for motivation.
We made our way to the library this week, mainly to get books for the boys summer reading challenge. But I picked up two myself, whether I get through even one in three weeks we will see!

Looks like you've been busy. I love the teddy hat, looks very cosy :-)

ReplyDeleteThank you - he wants his own now - a rainbow one!
DeleteI feel like everyone knits socks faster than me -- and makes such beautiful ones, the pair you have pictured.
ReplyDeleteThat hat with the ears is beyond cute!
It's funny as I've only really been knitting socks for a year regularly, now I can't be without them - I much prefer two at a time even if it is slightly slower.
DeleteOne of these days I'd like to try my hand at crocheting wool socks. I have several patterns pinned, but wonder how easy they are? I have such a list of things I want to create already though! LOL
ReplyDeleteI don't crochet, but I wouldn't have thought it would be too hard, they're only a tube after all! With you on the long list though, they will have to wait.
DeleteOh wow you have been busy - I can only dream of knitting that much in one week any more!!
