A Year of Projects Update - week 17

Some more progress this week.  I finished my socks.  These were Jesse by Rachel Coopey.  They were my first colourwork socks and I'm very pleased with them.  I knit the stranded portion inside out and they fit perfectly.  They knit up pretty quickly, given I knit them one at a time (something that I am loathe to do!)
I also knit up some more hot water bottle covers.
And worked on some baubles.
Photos aren't great this week as I took them early on my phone, and of course, it wants to turn them round!
It's the half term break this week, so hopefully, in amongst some day trips I should get some good knitting time.
For more updates check out our group here.

  1. I love the socks, they turned out great and you've had a productive week with items for your stall. I'm hoping this week to also get some good knitting time in but we shall see!

  2. Love the socks. I have yet to try color work and am a bit leary of it. Great job. Don't us hot water bottles much here in the US but if we did, those covers would be wonderful for them.

  5. The socks are all kinds of amazing! And your colour work tension looks perfect too! I only knit socks one at a time (call me old fashioned).

  7. The socks turned out Fabulous! I'm doing a little colorwork too lately and I love how it pushes you to keep going. Seeing the emerging pattern is just too addicting.
