A Year of Projects Update - Week 37

I have been making a little progress on everything this week so lets just jump straight in!
I have been doing a little on Thomas's Christmas jumper and have started the sleeves.
I'm really hoping these will fly by as he has thin arms!

I have been making progress on the winter rose socks by Helen Stewart.  I really like this pattern so far and each pattern repeat is nice a easy to memorise.  I am using some yarn from The Knitting Goddess.
I am also loving Reflections by Veera Valimaki - this is very addictive and is going to be so squishy.  I think I will need some more yarn so have picked a pink from stash!
I have also been progressing on Zinone but have also realised I will need some more yarn for this - I think I was a bit optimistic when I ordered.  Anyway I have ordered another skein from Blacker.
In other news I have been making progress in the garden - I am going to build a barbecue doing the Easter holidays.  And it was mothers Day here in the UK today so I got some nice bits from the boys including chocolate and coffee so I am happy!
Have a great week.

  4. So glad you are in such a happy place, Lucy!
That Christmas sweater is adorable. I was tempted to say "jumper," but that just doesn't feel right for this American mouth!
I adore that sock pattern. One of my all-time faves.

  5. Nice colourwork details on the sleeves! The sweater is turning out so beautifully... well done!

Looking forward to seeing more of the socks. The yarn seems to have a lot of halo, but it's a pretty colour.

Very interested in outdoor projects and gardens. I need to make some plans here and am looking for inspiration!

  7. Happy Mother's Day!!!! Ummm,,,yes, coffee and chocolate....smart kids! You are so deserving and such a great Mom..I mean Mum! LOL!
Thomas's sweater/jumper is so darling and the colors are great. I can see the roses in those socks...lovely. I would like to try her patterns as I hear they are really lovely to work from. She has a podcast too. Reflections is beautiful and the yarn is so rich looking. I know what you mean about being 'optimistic'.....I'm still fretting about my socks and what to do. Love all you projects as usual and I hope you had a great Mother's Day!
