A Year of Projects 9
Year 9 - wow. I have been participating since year 3 (not an original I'm afraid) and have loved every minute of it. I am a very organised person and love lists, so this has been right up my street. Right from the outset, everyone in the group has been so supportive and encouraging and I love seeing what the other members have been up to.
So let's get into this. This past year (and the previous one) has had a focus of my handmade wardrobe. This year I participated in Me Made May and wanted part of the process to be able to identify what I need in my wardrobe, and I think this was a success. I was quite surprised by my two main observations (I don't like wearing skirts but love wearing a pinafore with a cover-up over the top and that I shouldn't wear jeans, rather leggings). So with all of that in mind - here we go.

What a great list. You’ve got a lovely selection of jumpers there. I followed all the links and have saved the water bottle carrier to my list. A great idea and it’s a knitted pattern not crochet. But my favourite on your list is the Zadie jumpsuit. I used to live in jumpsuits in the 80s and quite a few. They are so comfortable. I’m excited to see these progress.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great list Lucy, I love the selection of sweaters picked, they are sure to add to your me made wardrobe. I'm going to enjoy watching you complete what is a similar goal to my own in wanting a me made wardrobe and I'll be really interested in seeing the Zadie Jumpsuit. I think my favourite though might just be the frivolous section of the list, that looks like fun!
ReplyDeleteLove your list - all those sweaters look amazing. I have added those little gnome hats to my advent knit list. They are soooo cute. Here's to Year Nine! (Year 3 for me). It will be great to follow your progress this year.
ReplyDeleteWhat's frivolous about snowflakes and gnome hats?! :) They look like fun. I've got to say the Takumi pattern makes my swoon the most but all of your planned projects are lovely. I'm really looking forward to your Me Made Year.
ReplyDeleteOh! Exciting! I love your sweaters and especially the Kate Davies and Stephen West. I've made neither but I have high hopes and can't wait to see yours. Your frivolous are my practical! LOL! I would love the jumpsuit...it looks so comfy but I know I would never get it off in time to go to the bathroom! LOL! Here's to a great year...oh, and the socks....the latte and the Clark socks are on my never ending list too. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun list-- I think I need to add the snowflake to my list--! And I have wanted to knit up the Clark socks for awhile too. I like your goal of socks on the needles at all times-it is something I am striving for also for the same reason, they are great take along projects and I don't like being without something to keep my hands busy.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful year I will have fun watching your progress.
xoxo

Such a lovely list. I really love a couple of those sweaters. I also think your list is quite doable in a year's time. So glad to see you back again this year.
ReplyDeleteOooh, Lucy... I don't think I have seen Sanctuary before. That, or I've forgotten. That is just lovely. What a beautiful sweater that will be to wear. I will especially enjoy your "frivolous" projects. :) And candlemaking! That sounds interesting. Yay for another YOP Year!
