A Year of Projects Update - week 43

I completely missed last week.  I lost track of time and by the time I  realised it was too late!
Anyway I am good this week.   We have been back homeschooling and me remote teaching so it is easier to track time.
I haven't done a whole  lot of knitting and I'm not totally sure why but that is not the end of the world.
I have made great progress on Stonecrop.
I am using John Arbon devonia and am just finishing the waistband then the sleeves to do.
I haven't done any sewing but the weather is not looking as nice at the end of next week so I'm hoping the break out the machine then.
Because the weather has been lovely, both me and my husband have spent some time in the garden.  He has built a veg bed.
I have planted out lots of seeds into the greenhouse.
Early this week I  hope to get out and sort the patio.
I have also been doing a lot of cooking and baking.  We had a lovely salmon, quinoa and black bean dish in the week and Mexican meatballs today.
Also baked both an orange and a chocolate cake today - no pics of these but take my word for it!
It's quite a quiet week at school this coming week but I  have lots of marking and we are starting to prepare our year 11s for their A levels - so I will be kept busy.
Hope everyone has a good week and stays safe.

  1. It’s been perfect weather for gardening hasn’t it. Your baking sounds yummy. Probably just as well there’s no photo, I’m seriously lacking in will power at the moment.

  2. Sometimes it's considerate to avoid pictures of wonderful cake! Fortunately the shortage of flour is protecting me from treat baking.

Youu sound very productive in your crafting life, too. It's encouraging to read.

  3. Ah...distance learning! How's it going for you? Here we've been told not to worry about grades...It's about their mental and physical health first. We have two families in our school who have members that have been infected.....it;s tough and exhausting and I miss the kids so much.....

  5. Ooooh... Your Stonecrop looks amazing! And your garden is going to be amazing this summer, too. Looking forward to watching it grow. :)

  6. I am envious of your gardening. I don't have any seeds or baby plants - I might see if I can order some. I like having things growing and blooming on my back deck. I am impressed and grateful for all you teachers who are carrying on with teaching online and keeping the homefires burning as well. Bravo!!

  7. Stonecrop is lovely! I have a thing for stripes too. I cannot believe all you get done! Especially since you are remote teaching AND homeschooling too plus gardening and baking and candlestick making. Oh, forget the last part....I got carried away! LOL! The cakes sounded divine. Have a good and safe week and stay well!
