A Year of Projects Update - week 18

It is a dreary day in West Sussex!  Being the first Sunday of November,  it is the veteran car run today - where very old cars drive from London to Brighton.  My husband loves it so that is him occupied for the day!

I have had a good week, despite being under the weather.  I have accomplished a reasonable amount!

Firstly, I finished my Joy Cardigan by Veera Valimaki.

I am very happy with this, it is knit in John Arbon Textiles yarn- harvest hues.

I have also done lots of mending, including repurposing thd skirt of my dress into a cushion cover!

I have also spent a bit of time reorganising.  Since I haven't felt well and the weather has been questionable, I haven't got out in the garden.  We had the hall redecorated in the week before the break.  Anyway, it has been nice, and I'm quite pleased with the way the house looks at the moment (in time for Christmas Dec's soon!)

It's back to work tomorrow for the slog to Christmas!  But I think I am ready!

I hope everyone has a great week 😊

  1. Your Joy Cardigan looks terrific. I love changing out my main floor "decorations" each month/season. I just put away the Halloween decorations and now it's back to fall decorations until the end of the month when it will be Christmas decorations. Your skirt fabric does make a nice winter season pillow.

  2. Your cardi turned out fantastic. Looks awesome on you. What a sweet way to repurpose the skirt of your dress you knit. Hopefully you feel better soon
