Year of Projects Update - week 26

As always Christmas flashed by in a blur of wrapping paper!!  The panto was great, even though there were a few tears at the dragon (we were a little scared) but we sang our way through and now they want to book for next year!  Christmas day was fab just the 4 of us and boxing day we went to the crematorium and lit candles and we all fared ok.  On Monday I am making my way across the country with the boys to spend a few days with my mum and dad - my husband has to work so we are leaving him behind.  He likes a little time to himself!!  He will work and play golf so he is happy!

Anyway to knitting.
I am almost finished on some more booties for the stall (I sold all the rest)

At the start of the year of projects I was going to do a baby blanket but that didn't happen so I am going to follow a knitalong with a magazine I get to knit up sampler squares  I am half way through the first one.

I have made good progress on my Raspberry Tart, but this will be my only project that I take to my mums so I hope to crack on with it there.

Also whipped up a bunny purse for Debs.

  4. I'd like to do a sampler type project to learn more. Yours sounds interesting. Your booties look so precious and the yarn looks so soft. Your profile says you've only been knitting a year? How do you do so much, so well, so fast? I keep making mistakes and don't know how to get out of them so I have to start over. Plus, I'm a slow knitter evidently . Do you sit and knit for long periods of time? I usually do it on breaks and I'm thinking maybe that's my problem? Maybe i should focus more? I'm crocheting now for a bit so I can feel like I'm accomplishing something, lol! I love the sweater....your 2nd one? You are truly amazing! Happy New Year!

    1. Thank you so much. I have been knitting now for about a year and a half - should update my profile!! Usually I only get to knit properly once the boys are in bed, but I definitely knit at the expense of housework!!

  6. Lots of gorgeous wollyness going on here, I love it. The booties are so cute I'm not surprised you sold out and I hope you get lots done on your Raspberry Tart. The sampler square looks really interesting. Your making good progress on your list, it's nice to stop and look through it all half way through.

  7. The booties are so cute and adorable. The pattern of the sampler is one of my favorites. Your RT is coming along nicely and you will probably get so much done on it this week while visiting your Mum. Your list is coming along so nicely. Good job.

  9. Happy New Year! It sounds like your holidays went by well--and oh how I love that baby blue! It would make a beautiful baby blanket and your stitches are so pretty and even-on the white booties too!
