A Year of Projects Update - Week 2
I will be posting this late this week as we are off on our first camp this weekend! If it is successful I will update in a midweek post.
I have nearly 3 weeks to update on this week, what with the round up and the list last week so here we go!
FO's
I have 3!
Firstly some more socks for Thomas - I decided to knit him some matching (to me) Arne and Carlos socks.
I also finished the second sock club installment from The Knitting Goddess. These are Dalez by Rachel Coopey and the yarn is much more green than the pic implies. It's not really my favorite colour, but they fit well (I did a FLKH and a rounded toe) and the yarn is so soft.
I also finished and gifted a teacosy for my friend who had expressed a wish for one a while ago. So now only one more to go.
WIP's
Zinone is coming along nicely.
But I haven't touched the hat or Xmas jumper. However, I have cast on for another 3 projects (!)
I needed to have some easy sock knitting for our camping adventure, so I cast on a pair for Daniel and a pair for me. Both blueberry waffle on the left is mine colourway mathematical camel spit and on the right scooby doo - both by the Knitting Goddess.
And I cast on Buchanan as I couldn't wait any longer. I have done the initial colourwork and now am on the stockinette.
Acquisitions
I haven't had any acquisitions this week but thought I would show you some stitch markers I received
last week.
So there we have it - hopefully I should be able to get some progress in this next week as well and then the summer holiday looms!
Just as an edit - our camp adventure was fantastic as you can see - I'm a bit tired now though!!

Love all the socks!!!! Can't wait to see all the finished projects of those you casted on. Adorable stitch markers. Glad camping was fun!!
ReplyDeleteI love FLK heels. They fit me so well. And stitch markers are my thing - love yours!

ReplyDeleteI lover the Fish Lip Kiss Heels also. I have only done them once, but the fact there were no holes and I didn't have to pick up tons of stitches was a bit plus for me. You have some really pretty sock yarn and will be looking forward to seeing how it looks knit up. Good job on the finished items too.
ReplyDeleteFabulous socks and pretty tea cosy. I envy all the projects you have on the go. Leah x
ReplyDeleteLove your yarns for the socks! I can't wait to try the FLKH for the exact same reasons that Marsha stated! LOL! I have no pretty stitch markers but I think I will have to remedy that. So glad your camping trip was a success. The tea cozy is darling too!
ReplyDeleteYour tea cozy is adorable. I love the flowers sitting on top. Your socks look wonderful, too. And the stitch markers are so cute! Yay for camping and happy memories made. :)

ReplyDeleteYour boys have gotten so big. I love how son has matching socks to his mama. I knitted some Rose City Rollers with Arne & Carlos before our Seattle trip and boy do I love that yarn. My feet were freezing at SFO Park 'n Fly as the husband and I tend to forget to how cold it is up north and I whipped them out to wear. My toes warmed up quick style in that wool. Love them.
ReplyDeleteWow, the socks are beautiful! All your work is actually. I'm not as experienced at knitting and this year it is my goal to work on that. I can't wait to see more of your work.
ReplyDeleteGreat looking socks. Had to laugh when you said 'easy sock knitting' .... I'm not much of a knitter but manage what I consider easy - socks and dpn's are definitely in my too hard basket. Good to hear you enjoyed your camping trip. Winter here now and I'm sitting on top of my little heater !!! Have a good week. xox
ReplyDeleteLove all the socks and the camping looks great. Hope you enjoy the summer holidays :)
ReplyDeleteI have yet to try FLK heels!! One day I will give them a go!
ReplyDeleteArne and Carlos yarns are the best! I really like that orange. I love portable socks are, but I need to be more proficient from memory how to do the heel before I will be able to work on one without wifi to youtube the heel technique. I am working on mastering the Sweet Tomato Heel first though! Your camping trip looks fun and I am sure your boys LOVED it.

Congrats on the three finished projects. Love all the socks and stitch markers.
ReplyDeleteThe camping looks fun. I haven't been in years. Your tea cozy is so pretty. I'm sure your friend will love it.
ReplyDeleteWow! Buchanan is a gorgeous sweater pattern, and it looks like you're using exactly the colours shown on the pattern page? Was it a kit? I'm not envying you that amount of stockinette though!
ReplyDeleteWhimsical tea cozies always make me smile - yours is very sweet!
