A Year of Projects Update - week 17

I've done some bits this week, but mostly it has been preparation for this coming week, as it is the mid term break and I have lots of plans.
FO's
I have one - another hat again in Malabrigo Rio's and the cuffed hat.  This is number 2 of 7.
WIP's
My bird socks are progressing slowly - I am nearly at the heel.  I will be doing a fish lips kiss heel and making a nice long leg!
My Miranda is also coming along nicely, I still love this pattern and yarn.  The yarn is Madelinetosh pashmina worsted and it is a delight.  I have a few more rounds to go to get to the pocket.
I have also cast on a cloth as a Christmas present, I have stalled slightly on Thomas's socks but hope to get these on track this week.  In other crafty plans this week, I hope to dye some yarn this week, I have some undyed yarn from Devon Sun Yarns and I have some undyed to spin, so I will try to get that ready for the end of the week.  That is the plan anyway.  We also have pumpkins to carve and cakes will be baked!!

    I like the blue hues you are going for at the moment. Lovely knitted hat. Looking forward to seeing your hand dyes and spinning endeavours. Have a great half term holiday. My kids are off the first week of Nov this year and daftly enough I booked the wrong week off this year so am having a nice week off minus kids as still in school. :) xx

    I love all your blues. I think the bird socks are super pretty with the orange-y yellow stripes amongst the turquoise stripes.

    That sweater is really coming along nicely! It's a pretty texture swath down the middle--just enough to keep it interesting (but not enough to make it hard to pair with a patterned skirt or pants).

    All the yarns you are using are exquisite! I would take any of them! I appreciate that you tell us how you like specific yarns so then I feel good about purchasing. The hat is darling, the socks 'to die for' and the sweater is going to be lovely. I really want to Winter to come so I can stop working outside and just sit and knit...although there is plenty to do inside too! LOL! I think I need a knitting retreat so I can get away from my house and just knit and crochet. Enjoy your week.....it is heaven here as far as weather and I am enjoying being outdoors for a change as it is too hot here in the summer. Take care!
