Year of Projects Update - week 2

Here we go - 2 weeks in and what progress have I made?
I have finished the body on Myrna and started the sleeves.

I have completed a few more rows of my Christmas jumper, but still haven't caught up with my timetable - maybe when I have completed Myrna?  Or maybe not as I have already changed and added to my list!  I have signed up to do a test of Raspberry tart next!!

The sneaky peak last week was of one of these pink speckled socks!  As you can see I have been busy knitting some little items for the stall.

I have decided to branch out and try some baby clothes on the stall - just socks and hats (although I will need to get cracking on some hats this week).

And lastly I went to Unwind Brighton yesterday, which is a great yarny event in Brighton, England - next to the beach.  I brought far too much and the day turned out to be very surprising, but here is a preview!!  I will devote a whole post to it later in the week!!

So how is everyone doing?

  1. Wow, Myrna is GLOWING in that photo, LOL! Raspberry Tart looks lovely. What colour are you planning? It's hard to imagine it in anything other than red now that I've seen the preview :)

I'm a bit hesitant to attend fiber events ... I ALWAYS spend too much and come home with armfuls of yarn that were impulse buys.

  2. You are off to a great start and I love your little socks...too cute! I was feeling pretty good about this week considering until I see how much progress I did not make compared to others. LOL! Raspberry tart looks delicious...so, will it be red? The name alone makes you love it. You're "going to town" on that jumper and I love the little heart you knitted. You could do stars like that for Christmas. Have a great week!

    1. I have bought 'plum' for the test - to keep with the fruit theme! I shall definitely do stars.

  3. Sooooo jealous you got to go to Brighton! I didn't discover it was there until it was too late to arrange the time off work. I hope it'll be back next year - if so, I'm there with bells on!!! :)

  4. So in love the the color of Myrna. So nice and bright and cheery. The little items for the staff are so cute and will be appreciated much. I think adding baby items to your stall is a wonderful idea. Those items always seem to sell so quickly.

    1. It looked much less bright on the camera screen and maybe a tiny bit too bright on the computer - but pretty much that bright!!

  8. Gorgeous Myrna, the colour is lovely! I've nearly finished my outfit along Myrna too. Except mine's boring blue.

  9. I'm excited to see the Brighton Unwind pictures. I was in Brighton for one day a million years ago (okay, it was more like 13, but it sure seems longer ago than that!).
