A Year of Projects Update - week 29

I finished Raspberry tart!

Don't look too closely at the final cables - I was knitting whilst tired and missed a couple.  But it is for me and I don't mind!  I love it already, the colour is fabulous - it is merino DK in Cerulean by Mellifera Yarn.

My socks are coming along nicely - I really like using DPN's but I have been watching progress in the KAL and think I might try 2 at a time on 2 circular needles next time.
I have also CO my Fragile Heart for my wedding outfit - I am thinking there may be a blue theme here!

  1. Raspberry tart looks beautiful and it looks like the fit is pretty perfect too! I'm always knitting socks on DPNs. Although the idea of TAAT appeals it usually never goes well when I pick up circs!

  2. Wow! You've outdone yourself! The sweater is gorgeous and like Ruth stated, it looks like it fits you perfectly. I love your blue yarns....all of them. I got away from blue as here in the states I was really sick of the "country blue" that was used for so long but now I'm back liking so many of them. I have not tried TAAT socks in either direction but next year I should. Your WO is so lovely already. It all looks like very enjoyable projects too. Have a great week!

  3. Love the sweater. The color is fantastic. I also am in love with the color of the socks. I do both, magic loop and DPN on socks. Personally, I like the DPN's best and doing them top down. I am on a toe up magic loop now and am stuck at the heel until I find a pattern for it that does not require wrap and turns. Your fragile hear is so pretty. I love the pattern it is creating.

  4. Your shawl remind me of swirling fog somewhere near Stonehedge. Raspberry Tart *fist pump* rocks.

  6. Well done on the finish and fit of Raspberry Tart, it is wonderful. I love DPN's for socks that much that I just don't even try TAAT so I hope it goes well for you.
