Oh the end of term is looming! We finish on Wednesday and I can't lie, it's been a stressful year so I can't wait.
I've worked on several projects this week. First of all, I finished Hector!
I love these and finishing these meant I could CO the mystery sock with Rachel Coopey. The yarn for these is a Mellifera yarn, cash twist in a colour called tide - it's gorgeous.
I also CO That Cheeky Kea as a christening present for my friends little boy. The christening is on the 8th August, so I should have plenty of time to finish - its so small, I am remembering why I love baby knits!
I've made a little progress on my Vianne - I'm actually down to the end of the decreases and nearly onto the ribbing in the pattern, but I might knit a few more rows as I don't want it quite as cropped.
I have knitted a few more rows on the second chance frog cowl.
I am hoping to get quite a lot done today and get on with some sewing as we are going to have a quiet day at home following some rather busy weekends.

Lots and lots of yummy yarn projects going on, each as lovely as the next. Well done on finishing Hector and I hope you have a relaxing enjoyable Sunday, yayyyy to end of term. Ruth.
ReplyDeleteLove the variety of projects. Enjoy your quiet day of working on them.
ReplyDeleteVery productive, like the colour choices xxx
ReplyDeleteLovely socks. That new Melifera colour way is just gorgeous. I hope the mystery pattern shows it to good effect! Cute pattern for the baby. I struggle with baby knits as I just can't believe how tiny those little humans are!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the finished socks. I really like the colour of the yarn of the new socks you casted on. I have never tried a MOCK. I'm so scared that I will not like the pattern in the end.
ReplyDeleteYou have been busy! Everything looks great; the wee baby sweater especially. What a lovely gift to give.
ReplyDeleteThat Cheek Kea is especially sweet looking. I love the color you've chosen. I hope you enjoyed a peaceful Sunday at home. :^)
ReplyDeleteThe socks are wonderful. You have had a very productive week. The colors you have picked for all of your projects are so pretty and each one suits the pattern quite well. Great job.

ReplyDeleteI SO understand how you feel about the end of the term coming! My summer is more than half over, and I'm beginning to feel the start of school pressing in on me.
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful socks and a lovely christening gift.
That cheeky kea pattern is intriguing... I may have to look at it a little more and see what I have in. My stash that would make it an extra special gift for someone...
