A Year of Projects Update - week 44

We have a bank holiday weekend here in the UK, and, for the moment at least, the weather is nice!
We spent a bit of time at the British wildlife center yesterday.  We got membership a couple of weeks ago and so have been spending a little time there.
FO's
I finished the test knit yesterday, it has been blocked and finished and photos taken.  Only teaser shots at the moment, but it is likely to be published soon, so I will be able to show all then.
WIP's
I still have all the same WIP's as I had last week as I have been pretty monogamous with the test knit.  I am, however, going to add two more to the list as I want to cast on the socks for the no nylon KAL and Thomas has announced he wants some socks as well, so who am I to question?
Acquisitions
The yarn diet went horribly wrong this week!  I ordered some yarn from The Knitting Goddess as they had a sale,
and I got the next installment of the sock club,

and I got some more stitch markers, that I am sure will be on one of my next projects,
and I got a book from Kate Davies - Yokes.

I have had a quick look through the book and I think I love them all, so I will be planning my next projects soon - watch this space!
The new year of projects year will be soon upon us, come and join us here.

  3. Well, if you're going to blow your diet, you might as well enjoy something truly delicious (or beautiful, as the case may be). Enjoy your new yarn. We're having beautiful weather today, too. 70's, low humidity. I wish we had a nature preserve somewhere near... It's just one of those days that begs you to come outside. Errands and then my backyard will have to suffice. :^)
