A Year of Projects Update - week 19

Looking backvat the last few posts  all I  can see is my Christmas dress!  This is not a bad thing, but it is nice to have something else!

This week I have been mainly working on Tegna.   I have split for the sleeves and knit up the back.  I am now working on the front.

I am knitting yhis in Lay Family Yarn  in the Sweetpea cottage colourway.   I really like it, but it is difficult to tell when doing bottom up as I  can't try it on.  But I have my fingers crossed it will be OK!

I have also started work on See You There by Joji Locatelli.   I am using de Rerum Natura gilliatt.  I have used this yarn before and it is lovely.

I  already know I am going to love knitting this - I really do enjoy cabling.

I have also started a pair of yoga socks for my friend,  but no pic yet.

We have had a lovely relaxing week, finished off with a trip to the beach on Friday.   It was a bit too rough when we got there so we paddled  ate bacon rolls and had hot chocolate with cream and that was perfect.

Hope you all have a good week.

  1. Lovely progress! I love cables but I can’t say I’m a fan of knitting them, I find them very fiddly and struggle to get into a routine with them. Your end of the week sounds like a perfect day!

  2. Sounds like a great week off. Hot chocolate on the beach sounds great. Maybe we will take the dog to the beach today. Bottom up scares me, I hope it's a great fit when finished.

  3. I still can't wrap my head around going to the beach when it's cold but ocean sounds are wonderful all year round. Hot chocolate sounds wonderful. Your See You There does look beautiful.

  4. Your Tegna is coming along nicely. I have stopped doing bottom up sweaters because of not being able to try them on until it is waaay too late to fix sizing. See You There is such a lovely sweater. Cables make everything much more special.

  5. Glad you had a nice vacation and family time. I am anxious to get back to knitting when I see yours. It's Christmas and Advent gift making time but after the holidays I will be full-on knitting! I love your dress and that Sweetpea Cottage colorway is so pretty! See You There looks so interesting so far. I too love cables. Have a great week!
