A Year of Projects Update - week 24

Gosh the weeks are flying by!  I don't have a great deal to show for it crafting wise.  So this will be a very quick update!

I did finish my socks for mum's cracker gift.  And, as I had some wool left, I have started a new pair for myself - these will have contrast heels.  The yarn is a Christmas skein from Lay Family Yarn.

I also had my Christmas nails done yesterday!

Not the best picture but they are blue and green and sparkly!!

And that is about it for this week.  Next week we will be preparing to visit mum for Christmas  but I'm sure I can squeeze in a post.

Hope everyone has a great week 😊

  1. What fun nails! I use press on nails and wore white sparkly ones to the Christmas dinner/dance this past Thursday. It is fun to get my nails done. It used to be a mother daughter thing we did. Hopefully when we visit in the spring my granddaughter will be left with her daddy so that we can get nails done. I love getting 2 pairs of socks from a skein of yarn by using contrast toes and heels.

  2. Such a pretty nail color. My nail beds are short and stubby and I don't paint them - calling attention to them (and one crooked arthritic finger) is the last thing I want to do. So I live vicariously through those of you who can wear pretty painted nails. :)

  3. Even though I've been looking forward to Christmas and it has felt so far away, it also seems to has crept up on me at the same time!

  4. Ooh pretty nails, I don’t seem to make any effort with mine but love looking at other people’s. I’m sure your mum will love the socks, will your contrast heel match the Christmas theme I wonder? Liz (Highlandheffalump)
