I've not posted in a while. Unfortunately, the last month has been quite hard and posting took a back seat.
My dear mum, unfortunately, took a turn for the worse, having fought cancer for a year, and lost her fight last week.
There are obviously lots of things to be done, but at the moment I am home for a bit, waiting for the next set of arrangements to kick in.
I have done a bit of knitting this last few weeks. I have finished my February socks from Stephen West.
I really enjoyed these and used a lot of stash!
I gave also started the March socks.
These are being knit in some more stash yarn from Stranded dyeworks.
I have done a bit on my vest, but not too much to photograph.
It is also my birthday today, so I went on a lovely hike over the Seven Sisters - the cliffs on the south coast of England.
I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your mother. I too lost my father to cancer about a week and half ago. May the memories you cherish with her uplift and support you during this time.
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry for your loss. It's never easy losing a parent. I lost my Dad to cancer many years ago. I hope you have a wonderful birthday.
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry about your mum. Cancer is so cruel. What a terrible blow for you and your family. Wishing you strength as you work through this loss. Hopefully knitting gives you a little distraction.
