No update last week as I went to Goodwood in my two handmade dresses! Unfortunately, I forgot to take any photos, so you will just have to take my word for it!
This week I have put in some rows on my Joy cardi by Veera Valimaki, but again, no photos 😅
I have been doing something though! A couple of years ago I knit the festive yoke pullover by Skeindeer knits as a dress. It was fab, but it was not that flattering. I realised I was never going to wear it, so I decided to cut it in half and turn the top half into a sweater.
I just adding the bottom ribbing as you can see. This should be easily ready for Christmas and I may turn the bottom into a cushion cover! And that is all I have done!
I hope you have a had a good week 💓
What a great idea on how to reuse the knitted dress you were not gin to wear. I will have to remember this idea.
ReplyDeleteWhat a clever idea for your dress. I will take your word you wore your two dresses.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great sweater it now makes. Perfect for Christmas/winter. Great idea to use the skirt fabric for a pillow cover.
ReplyDeleteThat sweater is beautiful, Lucy! What a terrific way to save a lot of the work you did.
