A Year of Projects Update - Week 44

Much progress has been made this week!
I finished my April socks just in time.  These are the Driftwood socks by Mina Phillips in the every flavour beans colourway by Little French Meadow.
Love them and will put them into the boxosox, Inside Number 23 Harry Potter and the Sock Bash KAL's.  It's a lovely little pattern giving a great texture.
I also finished From Way Back. It is done bar the blocking.  I love this cardi, and i think I will wear this a lot.  It is in a yarn by the no longer dyeing Mellifera yarn.
Having finished the April socks, but not being able to cast on May socks until Monday, I have cast on some boot socks for me.  These are for a DK yarn so I am using a glorious yarn by the Knitting Goddess.  This is a textured pattern called Totally Mint by Katya Frankel.
I have also cast on Breathing Space.  This is the main colour by Travel Knitter.
We have a long weekend here, so hopefully I will be able to get in lots of knitting time today and tomorrow!  Hope you all have a good week.

  1. Ooooohhhhhh, look at those FOs. The socks are so perfect and the cardi.........I have no words for how much I love it. I really like the color of the new boot socks. That blue for Breathing Space is dynamic. Enjoy your long weekend.

  2. Gosh, I really like those Driftwood socks. I'm adding that pattern to my Faves right away! And it's quite a nice little bundle of "Beyond Vanilla" patterns. Hmmmm!

I think the stripes in your yarn really add interest to the Totally Mint socks!

  3. Your cardigan is beautiful. Happy long weekend and may it include lots and lots of sock knitting.

  4. Oh my what lovely socks! I've been thinking about Mina's patterns as I've heard they are much liked and very clear. The yarns are all glorious...and your cardi turned out so beautiful! The yarn for your boot socks is stripping up so nice and it looks like a lovely pattern too. Breathing Space is going to be luscious in that blue you've chosen. I really like that pattern too. Enjoy your time knitting and relaxing a bit!

  5. Oooh... I like that colorway of the Little French Meadow yarn - very fun socks. And I love that From Way Back cardigan. Even unblocked I can see that it's beautifully knitted. I hope to see a picture of the back, especially, after it's blocked. And a new sweater to enjoy watching grow! Can't wait to see the beauty that lovely blue yarn will become.

  6. Love that cardi, so warm and snuggly and practical.

  7. Gorgeous cardigan, I really fancy making one of those for myself. Getting a bit fed up fingering weight yarn and lots of socks lol.

Your socks have turned out really nicely too, do you have a closer up picture of the stitch pattern?
