A Year of Projects Update - week 36

It has been a lovely week, weather wise.  We are due to return to school next week (almost a year since we closed the school doors), so this week has been mostly preparing for that.  We have a slightly staggered start, with Daniel starting back with me on Monday - Thomas returns on Friday after going in for his first test on Thursday.  So next week will be interesting - at least Easter is not far away!

I've continued to work on my garter stitch blanket and Oare water, but I will show you next week when, hopefully, I can show real progress!

I have been working on a new project!  When we were out for a walk, Daniel saw a lovely dog in a beautiful coat.  He happened to say he would like a Christmas jumper like it.  So (always eager for a new appreciated gift) I looked for a similar pattern and found one from Deramores.  So here is what I  gave so far.

This is knit in John Arbon knit by numbers as I  had that in stash.  It is knit in pieces and usually I  would convert to in the round, but I  thought I would try it and see if I can learn a new technique!

And that is that for this week.  Hope everyone has a good one.

  1. OOOHHH, that is a lovely jumper. Daniel has a good eye. I am sure we will all love watching how this unfolds over the next few weeks. Good luck to all of you heading back to the classroom.

  2. That looks like a great jumper! Best wishes as school in person resumes. I would think that's a "normal" that teachers and students appreciate.

  3. That's a cool design. I especially like the little dots, always love a supply of dots in a pattern.

  8. the jumper looks splendid. It is always wonderful to knit for those that request and appreciate all the hard work. I'll be thinking of you with the return to school. I must admit I am so glad to be a retired teacher at this pandemic time.
