Today is just a summary of this week. We broke up for the holidays this week and I have therefore, blogged about our summer holiday project here.
I also have a couple of finished items from the list - of which I posted pics here, but included this one of my son modelling the wristwarmers!! As I said in the Wednesday post all the finished items this week are parts of presents so not really finished!!
I am still plugging away at the mystery KAL - had to frog it at one point but now am coming along ok!!
Have had to abandon the roses for the cake (not a year of projects but a project none the less) - as it had been too hot for the sugarpaste.
Good news is that we finally had lots of rain yesterday and seems a bit fresher today so may get back to the roses tonight - can't even think about it with the pocket rocket awake!!!
Anyway, here is the current list:
Finish tote bag - I'm nearly there - just finishing off to do. Am hoping that could be my first FO post next week- hurrah - finished 04/07
- MKAL - with group on ravelry - One skein
The wristwarmers are looking good. Hope the heat has subsided enough to get back to your flowers.
ReplyDeleteNice colours on the wrist warmers. We're in fresher, less humid weather too now, and sock knitting progress has really improved!
ReplyDeleteVery cute of your son to model the wrist warmers :) They look great!
ReplyDeleteWristwarmers are such a great gift. They're a nice fashion accessory to sport with an outfit. How awesome you're into cake decorating too! I have a friend who's currently taking classes at Michael's and had to make 50 flowers for an assignment.
ReplyDeleteOh-I am truly sorry for the frogging which happened in your world this week--hope it helps a bit knowing we have all had to do the same at one time or another! I am thinking of doing dishcloth sets this year too-there are so many fun patterns out there.
ReplyDeleteHave a super week-
*smiles*
What a cute pic of your son! As for the frogging, well I know how frustrating that can be so here's to a great week of knitting with no ripping!!!
ReplyDeleteThe wrist warmers look great, very cheerful. And well done on two finishes already, not bad! I wish people would stop talking about gift knitting though, I'm still in denial :P
ReplyDeleteYour son looks so happy to have a hand knitted project. Hope they keep him warm in the coming fall!
ReplyDeleteI love the purple and yellow together! He does a good job modeling too. LOL! You're getting more done than me. I would never get anything done her in the South if I didn't have AC especially "frosting roses"....impossible here. Have a great week and I hope your weather cooperates.
ReplyDeleteaww the purple and yellow mitts are cute, he looks really happy!!! Have a knitty weekend xx
