A Year of Projects - week 9

We returned from our holiday today - we are all feeling very sad!!  All back to school and work this week.
I took loads of stuff to knit with me but did very little.  A little progress on the socks and a few pom poms.

I shall leave you with a few shots of our holiday in Cornwall.
My boys with St Michael s Mount in the background

St Ives - the 4 cousins playing on the sand

My eldest at the owl sanctuary

Some of us at Pendennis Castle for the pirate re-enactment

Have a good week :-)

  1. Aw, sorry the holidays are over but all good things ...

Looks like you all had fun though, and the weather looks good too. Lovely photos. I'd be a bit horrified though to have an owl on my arm :)

    1. We certainly did and you could have knocked me down with a feather when Thomas said he wanted to do it - he gets scared by ducks!!

  2. Welcome home! I always have mixed feeling about coming home from holiday, I always want the holiday to last longer but I so enjoy being back home and sleeping in my own bed.. Love the beachy pictures, so pretty!

  4. Hearty ho! How cool to go to a pirate reenactment. I think the best part of your holiday is getting to hold an owl! I think owls are lovely. That is a green up my alley and I understand how landing back to reality is boo.

  5. Looks like a full weekend! Take it easy on yourself Tuesday, ease your way into the week and don't forget that you only have four days to go instead of five!

  6. What lovely sights and family. Glad you had a good time and I am loving that sock yarn you're working with. I hope the next week doesn't "do you in". Take care!

  8. Me too, I always take lots of knitting with me for travelling/holidays and get very little done. Seems you had a great time though that's what's important!

  9. Looks like you had a great holiday. It's never easy to re-adjust after...

Love the colour of your socks - kind of like the sea. :)
