England seems to have bypassed Spring! Summer has suddenly arrived (I'm not exactly complaining, although I don't really like the heat), but I suspect spring may be back.
Despite the heat I have made some significant progress.
Last week I completely forgot that I had made quite a lot of progress on Thomas's Christmas jumper. So this week, I managed to finish it.
This is in John Arbon Textiles knit by numbers and is pretty much tenderheart by Tincan Knits (in Heart on my Sleeve).
I have also made progress on Quiet Stars by Joji Locatelli. I have done the back to the armpit ad am now making my way done the right side. The pattern is lovely and easy to memorise although looks much harder. The yarn is metelsome by Amy Florence at Stranded dyeworks.
So as I said it has been lovely in the UK at the moment, so we have been barbecueing and going out. We have also had the class bear so lots of photos have been taken!
I'm sure the weather will be back to normal next week, so have lovely week.

A Year of Projects Update - Week 42
I have a little bit to show this week. Somewhat helped by the fact I missed last week and I have been on holiday the past two weeks. I probably ought to get going then!
FO's
I finished Zinone about 2 weeks ago. It is still unblocked but I will get to that soon.
This is knit in Blacker Lyonese which is a linen blend, I love it and the colour.
I also finished my Winter Rose socks which is the first socks in the handmade sock society by Helen Stewart.
I finished these a while ago too and really should be casting on the second socks but have yet to do so. These are knit in the Knitting Goddess Wensleydale and shetland.
WIP's
I cast on Quiet Stars by Joji Locatelli and have been making good progress.
This is in Stranded Dyeworks in Metelsome (I can't remember which base), I am loving both yarn and pattern.
I have also been making progress on my gift mittens.
These are in stash yarn which is an alpaca so it is so soft.
And finally, I have been making great progress on the socks for Thomas. Again these are in a Knitting Goddess yarn in the colourway tiger feet.
I have turned the heel and am now making my way up the leg.
So there it is! I hope everyone has a great week.

A Year of Projects Update - week 40
Ah we finally made it to the Easter break. I think we are all over the various illnesses that have befallen us. Thank you everyone for your good wishes last week, we are all feeling much better with no ill effects.
I think I have a little bit of everything this week.
FO's
I finished my Reflections shawl by Veera Valimaki from Interpretations 5. I love this, it is very squishy and cosy and I wore it out today.
WIP's
I have made progress on most things this week as well. I am very nearly finished on my Winter rose socks and my Zinone. I have no photos this week of those, but hopefully, next week they will be done and I will have FO shots for you.
I have cast on some mittens for my niece.
These are in some alpaca yarn I have had in stash for a while.
I also finally got round to dying some yarn I had this week. I bought some undyed yarn a while ago. I dyed some for my breathing space, but had lots left over. This has coincided with me having a bit of a glut of red onions! So last week I made some red onion marmalade and then used the onion skins to dye some skeins. I decided I wanted a sweaters quantity and I am very happy with the colour I got. I followed a blog post and thought I would get a much greener hue, but this is a lovely brown colour that I am very happy with. I do not know what I am going to do with it yet, but I am hoping that it might become something from Interpretations.
And I think that is it for a moment. We went to the wildlife centre this morning and saw a polecat for the first time for a while - he was just peeking out!
Hope everyone has has a great week.
