A Year of Projects Update - week 39

I seem to be on a two week schedule at the moment!  I keep thinking work is going to ease and then more things come along.  But hopefully, it is going to start getting easier.

The only project I havecworked on is my Soorik.

This is a pinafore that us knit bottom up.  I have done the hem and now am about 7 inches in on what seems like never ending stockinette!  I've still got several miles to go, but that is fine and about all I can muster the effort for right now.

I am knitting it in John Arbon Textiles Exmoor Zwartbles in the mid tone colourway.

And that is about that.  We had our first barbecue last night as the weather has been lovely.  It is a big cloudier today, but I  might go and do a few jobs in the garden later.

I hope everyone has a good week and I will work hard on returning next week!

  1. I hope things calm down a bit for you. A BBQ already sounds like you are having lovely weather down there.

  3. Oh goodness. A pinafore would be even more stockinette than the body of a jumper I would guess. Best wishes!! Cute stitch marker.

  6. The weather is getting nicer day by day. Pretty soon my gansey will be too warm to wear on my forest/ocean walks. One good thing about miles of stocking stitch - great tv knitting!

  7. The Soorik is a great looking pinafore. What colors are you using for the colorwork? Glad your weather is getting better so you could have a BBQ. Now, your work just needs to settle a bit.
