A Year of Projects Update - week 3

Ok so I've had a little more time this week but I don't seem to have made much progress.  I do have an FO though!

FO's
I finished Zinone - I do not have modelled shots as it is not blocked yet, but she is finished nonetheless.
She is knitted in Eden Cottage Milburn in stone.

WIP's
I have turned the heel on Daniels Scooby Doo socks (Blueberry waffle pattern knit in Knitting Goddess)
I've not done much work on mine.
I have nearly finished a second teacosy - I need this one for the end of the week as a present so I will work on this one later.
I have worked a few more rounds of Buchanan, but not enough to show.
And finally (I will count this as a WIP even though I have not actually started knitting them yet) I have added  to my list already but only as I forgot it.  I saw this pattern a while ago but wasn't sure why I would knit it.  I have now decided to knit loads and give them as presents.  What am I talking about?  sheep by Susan B Anderson is what I am talking about.  I have a mass of 4 Ply that I am going to use to make them - a whole flock.
I have also cut out the fabric to make a mimi top which I will probably put together next week.
I have - shock - horror - no acquisitions this week.
I think that is it for this week.  To see more progress in the group click the link on the right.

  1. Congratulations on your FO. Hope we also get another pic of it after you have blocked it. I like the waffle socks and really love the teacosy. Great colours.
The sheep - wow, what a great pattern. I've seen plenty of sheep patterns (knit and crochet) but none as nice as these cuties. A whole flock will be such a pretty project, and fun to do too.

  7. love the yarn you're knitting the blueberry waffles out of! I am going to be knitting that pattern again, I'm only at the cuff still but I love the pattern so much.

  8. A FO already! Go you! I really like the color of Zinone and am also curious what weight yarn you are using for the Scooby Doo Blueberry Waffle socks. The pattern it seems, calls for DK but I don't want socks that thick and want to knit them with fingering weight. Oh, and the sheep! Aren't they the cutest? I have had that pattern in my queue for bit and hope to knit some up--perfect little gifts!
    xoxo

  9. You may be the first with an FO....you should get a prize! I love the color of yarn you used and can't wait to see it blocked and in use! Wowza! The socks are really nice and I notice you use really good yarns. I may have to start. I can't wait to try the BW's pattern. The sheep are just darling!

Alas, I have teapots but no cozies, maybe I should add them to my list and then I'll be forced to have a nice cup of tea and relax for a bit..sounds like a wonderful gift!

  21. omghosh! Those sheep are so cute! They would be great to stuff with some a little cedar or lavender for keeping a closet or drawer fresh. I added to my list too this week. I decided to add a flower headband to match my Frilly Dress I'm making for a baby. I love all of your knitting. It makes me want to get out my needles again.
