A Year of Projects Update - week 51

For some of us we are frighteningly close to the end of the YOP year.  I have usually written my last post of the year by now, but this year I haven't even really thought about it. I think I will start something in the week!
But for the moment, what have I been doing this week?
I have been powering through my Quiet Stars by Joji Locatelli and am now finished with the body.  Just two sleeves to go and a tie!
I have also made good progress with my Waters by Andi Satterlund.  I am a little worried about the neckline, but I am hatching plans with the ribbing and I think that will be ok.
I haven't really done much else - I have started my Cleo dress and made a bag, but I will share those in two weeks when I unveil the next years list!
That is it for this week - I will wind up the year next week and then look forward to my next crafty year of projects.  To see how the others are fairing please click the link on the sidebar.

A Year of Projects Update - week 50

I am so late this week, but I wrote half of this earlier in the week so thought I would go ahead and post..
I have no FO's this week, but 2 big projects that I am getting through and a new little project that I have started.
The big projects are:
My Quiet Stars by Joji - I am on to the bottom shaping which shouldn't take too long and then I have sleeves to tackle.
My Waters by Andi Satterlund that is coming along nicely.  I have joined the body, so now it is just stockinette to the bottom.
I have also started to join in with the breed exploration that is run by Knit British.  I have followed Louise (that is knit british) for a number of years and listened to what the group have to say about various different British breeds of sheep, and now I fancied joining in.
So I have invested in some Romney wool (the bottom swatch) and some Southdown wool (the top swatch).  The Romney has been done, so I will play along retrospectively, but the Southdowns and Dorset Horn (that I have also purchased) I will do properly and post my findings.
So I think that is it for a moment.  I will endeavor to post on Sunday this week, which isn't that far away.

A Year of Projects Update - week 49

We are drawing to the end of our half term break.  We have had a lovely week, but yesterday I stepped over the potatoes growing in the garden and have sprained my toe.  It is an excuse for doing very little today but it is not how I wanted to finish the week.
I finished these last Sunday and have been wearing them this week.  They are just some rose city rollers in Little French Meadow yarn.
I have made progress on several things, not least, my Quiet Stars by Joji.
But this has taken a back seat since Friday which was when the Outfit Along kicked off with Andi Satterlund.  I have layed out my fabric for the trousers and have cast on Waters by Andi.  I love this combination of colours and love the Lyonesse by Blacker.
And that is about it for this week.  Please click to see what the others have been up to.  I shall be back next week as we get ready to wind up this year - for those of us running from July to July.
