A Year of Projects Update - week 18

It's been the half term break this week.  We have had much fun and I have done a fair bit of knitting.
We went to Hever Castle, a year to the day that we went last year.  We went to the wildlife centre and we carved our pumpkins.

 FO's
I started and finished two objects this week.  First up I converted the dog sweater to being knit in the round and here it is - I will pass it to the new owner and try to get a modeled shot from her!!
I also finished another hat for Christmas - that's three now - four more to go and various pom poms.
WIP's
I am still going on both pairs of socks and the cloth, because I have been rocketing through my Miranda.

I have bound off the body and am now about to start the sleeves.  I want nice long sleeves but this just flies off the needles so I am hopeful to have it finished by next week (I want to wear it to the firework display).

  1. Nicely done! Can't wait to see the finished sweater. I wish we had castles around here...we actually do, but not like yours...

  4. Whenever you write in a post something like "we went to .... Castle" I have a WoW moment. And then I remember your's is a land of castles! How awesome IS that?!?

Another cute dog sweater. :) And prettily knit hat. And what a gorgeous Miranda sweater! Can't wait to see it finished. I truly admire your ability to be able to knit pretty things you will enjoy wearing. That must feel so good.

  6. That sweater is flying off your needles. I really like the color --still!--it looks to be an emerald green on my monitor and I have been dreaming of something teal or aqua or emerald instead of gray. Of course what did I cast on last night? Something gray.

  7. What a fun outing you had! I need to make a dog sweater for Annie, my miniature dachshund as she gets really cold in the winter. The hats are looking good and I need to get busy here with Christmas and gift knitting. The Miranda is so pretty and I can't wait to see it with sleeves and you modeling it! Have a great week and Happy Halloween!
