Year of Projects Update - week 17

And yet another week goes by!!  This week is the half term holiday, so I hope to have lots to report next week!

This week, I knitted myself some mitts - spiced cocoa is the pattern - I love the pattern and have done it 3 times before.  This time I bizarrely did the left twist differently but I don't know how!!  Anyway, they are for me so I will live with the difference!  The yarn is an aran by Mellifera yarn in the rain colourway.

I also finished the wreaths and made mini versions.

And made a snowman for the tree and another stocking.
As to sewing, I made a couple of project bags - here is one  it contains my 3 ongoing projects (second sock, second Raspberry tart and my Christmas jumper), none of which I have done much on this last week, so no photos!

I also made up my top, and will do the wrap dress today now I have the correct needles.
What are you working on this week?

  1. Love the mittens and just in time for the cooler weather. What cute wreaths and I just love the snowman. Great looking project bag and making it more than makes up for not having time to work on the projects it holds. Enjoy the mid-term week, it's mid-term week with us also.

    1. Kind of organised!! In all honesty, they are for the stall, so wanted them done in plenty of time.

    1. Thank you. I made up the patterns myself with help from Pinterest. The larger one is 35 stitches - then garter stitch until it stretches over the polystyrene form. The smaller one is 15 stitches, garter stitch.

  4. Fabulous festive project bag, and nice and roomy too, I really should knuckle down and sew myself a couple of bags, I have half finished wips all over the shop.

Those mittens look so cosy and I love the colour, you've really got a head start on the Christmas makes with your pretty wreaths.

  6. And I thought I was doing good with my 3 little ghosties that took weeks! LOL! You put me to shame. The mitts are so pretty and love the yarn color. Those wreathes are ingenious and the little ornies...I'm sure they will sell well. Your bag is darling and what a cute Christmas print so you can put all your Christmas presents you are making in there. Have another fantastic week with your family.
