A Year of Projects Update - week 16

We have had a somewhat busy week what with meetings and parents evenings, but just one to go before the half term break.  This weekend has been nice and relaxing however, and I have managed to get some crafting done.
I finally finished my third sailor top.  I bought the material ages ago, so it was good to finally get it done.  I think this will be my last sailor top for a minute as I have come to the end of suitable material!!
I am plugging away at items for the stall as I have a couple of craft fairs coming up.  I am just doing another hot water bottle cover and am making lots of baubles.
I am also making progress on my second colourwork sock.  Pattern is Jesse by Rachel Coopey.
I thought now was the time to update the list.  We have a quiet day today apart from a party later this afternoon, so I am hoping to make progress and have a serious think about gifts this Christmas!

  1. Your colourwork socks are really nice, Lucy. Also, as you've mentioned the craft fairs you'll be doing, I hope you take some pictures. I would enjoy seeing what that looks like (your stall, the event - whatever strikes your fancy) - if you're interested in posting. :^)

    1. Oh, I also wanted to say I love the colors on the top. I love the pops of bright colors on the brown background. Pretty!

  2. I just love the spotty sailor top and I'm more than a little envious of your sewing skills (I've a complete love hate relationship with my machine!) Love those socks each time I see them I love them more, they remind me of a carpet of leaves in the forest, I think I will need to add these to my favourites. Looking forward to seeing all the fair wares :)

  3. Those socks are so pretty. I love the idea of knitting inside out to keep the floats right, but I don't see how you can keep track of the pattern from the back. Well, I can't sew, either, so I'll just envy you for your talents.

  4. I feel like a slug after I see how much you accomplish and working and raising a family! I know I used to be able to get lots done too...what happened to me? LOL!
I love your socks and was color work something new for you? I had that in my sites this year to learn but alas my timetable has gone to the dogs I guess. You are motivating me though and I love all your projects and always glad to see sewing in the mix too. Good luck at the fairs this year!

  5. The Sailor top is very cute and I'm so loving your colourwork socks, they are stunning!
